You’ve probably received notices from every company imaginable about how they are doing their part to slow the spread of COVID-19. But the most important area in the world is YOUR HOME. There are some actions that we’ve always used, and a couple things that we’re adding, in order to keep your family, pets and us safe. As most area schools are closed for the next 4 weeks, you’ll want to know your home is staying safe and clean from the coronavirus.
DISINFECTING VS SANITIZING
The main difference is how long the chemicals are on the surface. Things like Clorox wipes are great for disinfecting for bacteria because it only has to stay wet on the surface for 15 seconds. Our all-purpose cleaner is also a virucide. We have always used this product, letting it sit for 10 minutes on sinks and toilets. We are now applying to door handles as well.
PREVENTING CROSS-CONTAMINATION
We utilize a color-coded system for cleaning cloths and mop pads. This keeps separate items used in the bathroom from being in the kitchen. The microfiber mop pads are also color-coded and only used in a single house. We also utilize HEPA filtered vacuums to keep any allergens from your floor from escaping back into the room.
WHAT’S NEW
All cleaners will wear disposable shoe covers and gloves, with a fresh set for each home. This process helps reduce what comes into your home, and protects us from walking out and spreading anything as well.
Social distancing – As many of you know, our cleaning process is set up to require little to none of your time and still provide consistent quality results. Feel free to maintain the 6-foot distance in any way that works for you. Our cleaners will gladly work around the family and can accommodate your needs. If you are now working from home: just let us know if there’s a particular area you’d like to have cleaned first or need quiet for a conference call. (Here’s a few tips for working at home)
