Dare I say it? This weather… this cold, snowy, relentless weather is about to break. The end is near, warmth is in sight, we can all take a deep sigh (without seeing our breath). We’ve been cooped up all winter long and its finally time to get out of the house. To help celebrate this long-awaited moment, we’ve compiled a list of fun activities that are available around central Iowa to help you with your new-found freedom. Many of us are familiar with the main pillars of entertainment around here; the Science Center, the Blank Park Zoo, Adventureland Park, the Des Moines Art Center, just to name a few. But what many people don’t know is there are dozens of things to do that are completely free of charge.
